Mark Wagner enchants the world and Breaks a Guinness world record!
Member Mark Wagner created the The KIDS' CHALK ART PROJECT which was a community event that celebrated the creative spirit of our children.
The Project's goal was to collaboratively create the World's Largest Chalk Drawing with the kids of Alameda (K-12), their families, friends, and neighbors, as well as the greater community of the San Francisco Bay Area.
On June 7th, 2008, after a five year vision, two years of hard work, thousand and thousands of kids, hundreds of parents, volunteers, friends and family, an amazing team, a dog, the City of Alameda, the US Navy, sponsors, the PTA, school district, and excellent weather, and so much more, a new World Record was set. ! In these challenging times of education budget cuts, where reading, writing, and arithmetic may be the only things taught in the public schools, Mark has a Big Vision to help keep the Arts Alive for the kids and community of Alameda.
